Most in the field underestimate the importance of a great user experience. But what is user experience in the first place. It is a combination of structure like the content page of a book and the prediction of what your users will enjoy the most to see after they saw something else. Of course it is more complicated than that and we need to take other things into consideration like what do we want to tell the users, where do we want them to go, what is their goal, what is our goal and so on. The idea is that most specialists and designers don't give enough attention to UX and that's one of the main reasons their products do not look that great. They think that if they put more and more effort into the User Interface and try to force the things to look good it will make it better, but they are wrong.

As a respectful company we follow many of the Google ways of doing things, not copying them, but rather use their direction of thinking. People there understand the importance of structure and ease of use. Another great moto that we follow is that less is more. In most cases it is better to have the most important information instead of all the information, because it is distracting the user and making things look more complicated than they are.

    Some of those ways are:

  • Keeping everything nice and simple.
  • Creating consistency and using common UI elements.
  • Strategically using colors and textures.

Our way

In our user experience design process we have also included, brainstorming and sketching various ideas that we had. This is a great way to see things brought to life without the full effort of following it up with UI. This clears a lot of details and doubt of how we imagine things.

Only after good execution of the UX, there can be a well structured and sketched UI which can be implemented. The creation of a great UI from sketches is difficult and requires caring about every little detail. From the spacing between the elements to the spacing between letters. We care about each illustration and effect to be crafted in such a way that it is special. There are a lot of skills involved in order to create various elements for the UI. Most of the skills required are to be well versed in Adobe Suite.

After all is said and done, we can understand that UX and UI are equally important and that the UX is the foundation for a great result. Now it is another matter if your programmers can execute something that is not easy to code and which technologies they are using, but that is another matter.

“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”
